Freak Out moment

OMG.

We are getting married in less than a week.

OMG.

I'm trying to keep calm. I'm trying not to freak out. I'm here at work trying to finish up these projects before my last day tomorrow but it's hard to focus when all I am thinking about are the million different things we need to do this week and worrying that we're forgetting something very important.
What are we forgetting? Anything?

We got a priest, we did place cards, we have programs, I have a dress, we have food, music, photographer...

What is missing?

I want to be one of those cool, calm, collected brides - all stoic and graceful. But these butterflies in my stomach must be on crack cuz they're not flittering, they're flapping around wildly all crashing into each other.

I am so happy but also nauseous.

Bridal Bash Weekend

I had a blast last weekend with my friends and family. My sister and bridesmaids did a great job organizing the shower and bachelorette party and everything turned out great! There are dozens more pictures, but I only posted a few to preserve our (my) reputation. ;-)

A great big thanks to the girls and everyone who came!
Love you!

We're getting Maui-ed

We are going to Maui and Kauai!

I want to climb a volcano, see the sunrise in Haleakala, learn how to hula, get a massage on the beach, ride a helicopter, go hiking, look at birds, look at ocean creatures, drink pineapple wine, drink kona coffee, shop in Wailea, learn how to surf, visit Waimea Canyon, go to a luau...

Am I forgetting anything?

Envy

Just look at this wedding of these grade school sweethearts
Isn't it the cutest?

I keep coming across details and images from other people's weddings that make me wish we could have a small outdoor wedding instead. A guest list of 75, an intimate garden party in the evening, orange paper lanterns hanging from trees, Moroccan lanterns with flickering candles, a huge glass jar full of lemonade, a clothespin line of messages and polaroids for a guest book, pretty succulents in apothecary jars, daisies in an antique blue glass jars...

But ours will be very different. More formal, more elegant, indoors - still we're trying to incorporate some details that make it less stuffy, less ordinary. And I got my Moroccan lanterns so I'm happy.

Updates:
1. Confirmation on our Engagement photo session next Wednesday! I'm so excited. But what to wear? Where to go?

Do you want to see our photographer's work? It's amazing.

Station Break

I am very excited for the no fun Olympics. So much so that I got a new name here.

In other news, the tuxedo search is pretty much a wrap. Just working out some details. Very classy details. No spats though. No white tie either.
